What is brow rejuvenation?

Brow rejuvenation goes by many names. It’s often referred to as a brow lift or forehead lift, but it is more clinically known as an upper rhytidectomy. The procedure also affects vertical creases between the eyebrows and will lift the brow so that sagging brows don’t hood the upper eyelids. The incision will either be made within the hair so scars are very well hidden, or small incisions can be made around the hairline for an endoscopic approach.

Once the proper incision is made, the muscles causing the wrinkles can be removed along with any excess tissue. The eyebrows and any necessary areas can be lifted to a more desirable location and sutured into place. Once the necessary adjustments are made, the incisions are closed.

What is the recovery process like?

Some minor swelling and bruising is expected following the procedure. The initial healing process is typically 10 to 14 days, with most people able to return to work and their normal activities after 14 days.
